On April 26, 2012, Tandem and Civil responsibility take over the Montréal Métro System!

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Tandem, the Ville de Montréal’s urban safety program, staff members will be performing a multitude of positive actions of good citizenship on Thursday, April 26.  Giving up one’s seat to those who may need to sit, removing one’s backpack before entering the subway, or simply offering help to those around us are simple, yet important gestures.  With these type of civil actions, Tandem in collaboration with the STM and the Ville de Montréal, will be offering free smiles throughout the day.

It’s guaranteed contagious!

Together we can both feel and be safe!

As well, you are invited on May 11 and 12 to attend the first Urban Safety Salon in Montréal.  Information booths manned by Tandem as well as partners will be held at Berri-UQAM Métro station on the mezzanine level near the turnstiles. Come and attend various workshops, ask questions to security experts and discover the many organizations who work together for your safety.

Admission is free and the salon is accessible by Berri-UQAM Métro.  The workshops will be held at the Grande bibliothèque de Montréal.  For more information please contact Terri Ste-Marie at 514.736.2732 Extension 22

Tandem is the City of Montréal’s urban security program.  Since 1982, its mission is to promote safety and the feelings of safety in our community by preventive action and citizen implication.
